Elevating a digital presence for intentional interior design

INDUSTRY:

Interior Design

PROJECT SCOPE:

Brand Audit
Website Copywriting
Custom Squarespace Design + Development

THE CHALLENGE:

Samantha Tannehill has spent years building a New York interior design practice defined by restraint, intention, and a deep understanding of how people want to actually live in their spaces. Her client list speaks for itself. Her digital presence was another matter.

The previous digital presence didn't hold up to the caliber of work behind it. A site that feels generic — that doesn't move with the same considered pace as the rooms she designs — signals the wrong things to the clients she wants to attract. Tannehill Interiors needed a web experience that communicated not just what they do, but how they think.

THE WORK

We built a custom Squarespace site engineered to feel as intentional as her interiors. Every detail was deliberate.

The portfolio section anchors the experience: a hover-activated reveal layout that lets visitors move through projects at their own pace, with full-bleed imagery that commands attention without rushing. On mobile, the same portfolio unfolds as a seamless scroll — unhurried, cinematic, designed to hold attention rather than break it.

The site opens with a custom loading screen — a brief, atmospheric moment that sets the tone before a single word is read. It's the kind of detail most visitors won't consciously register, but would notice if it were missing.

An ambient audio player, subtly positioned and easy to dismiss, layers in another dimension — an editorial touch that reinforces the sensory quality Tannehill Interiors brings to every project.

Beneath all of it: custom CSS and JavaScript injected throughout the build, giving the site behaviors that Squarespace's native tools don't offer out of the box. Fluid spacing, enforced aspect ratios, persistence across pages — the technical work done in service of a feeling.
